Answer to my last thread got lost somewhere in the virtual world... Here is my problem - a quote from the former kXProject site.

After installing 3521 (through kxsetup) everything seems fine. Audio input/output, soundfonts etc. works but when I try to "Reset Settings" the kX Mixer reports "Error: Control Parameters not set ...".
When I check the "Sounds and Multimedia Properties" everything seems fine: Speaker Setup = 5.1 Surround Sound Speakers, and HW accel = Full, Sample Rate conv. Qual = Best. Prefered Playback/Recording device is kXWave SB0060 5.1 [e00 0/1 (I also tried to change the recording device to 4/5,6/7,8/9 with no luck).

My current setup is windows 2000 (SP2) with a sb live platinum 5.1.

How do I fix the problem - I really need to make the ASIO driver work.

I have an identical problem with Win2000/Live 1024.

The error message also appears when starting Nuendo. Then Nuendo just turns to the creative drivers and if I try to change drivers in Nuendo, the same error message pops up once again.

I installed kX drivers few weeks ago for the first time just to test them. They worked out fine. Then I went back using creative drivers (temporary mental disturbance) and finally last night after coming back to my sense installed kX again (3 times actually, but no help). What can I do?

Could you, please, always write what exactly error message said (just "the error message" is really not enough to understand a problem)

Wait a bit, if you have kx driver installed nuendo cannot "turn to creative drivers" just because it could be only one driver loaded for same hardware at once (i.e. if you installed kx driver without uninstalling creative driver before the last one is just not loaded - but can cause problem..)

So what device is shown as nuendo's output ("Devices->Device Setup->VST Multitrack->ASIO Driver") after its "turn to creative drivers"?

After I have installed kX drivers and rebooted my computer Windows reports "Error: Control Parameters not set..."

After I start kX mixer and try to reset settings I get the same error message (although 'Sounds and Multimedia Properties' are set right).

One of the times I installed kX I had forgotten uninstall creative drivers (4 am). That's why I confused you in my post. Forget that. I just need to get kX work out right. And yes, I'm quite certain that they worked few weeks ago when I tried them for the first time. I couldn't have recorded certain keyboard lick on Nuendo with the enormous latency I have with Creative.
