asio problem

newbie-alarm!

it seems that the default asio settings donīt work with portaudio....
i also have the asio4al and the ks2asio tools installed an the portausio testing tools give me this:

>>pa_devs
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: numDrivers = 3
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: InputChannels = 0
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: OutputChannels = 2
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 8000
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 9600
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 11025
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 12000
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 16000
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 22050
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 24000
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 32000
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 44100
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 48000
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 88200
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 96000
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: InputChannels = 2
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: OutputChannels = 8
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 11025
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 12000
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 16000

rightyright.... that seems to be good...
but when i want to get a signal from the device0 (the kxDriver ASIO-device) i get this:

>>pa_fuzz
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: numDrivers = 3
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: InputChannels = 0
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: OutputChannels = 2
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 8000

PortAudio : possible sample rate = 48000
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 88200
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 96000
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: InputChannels = 2

PortAudio : possible sample rate = 11025
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 12000
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 16000

PortAudio : possible sample rate = 96000
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: InputChannels = 16
PaASIO_QueryDeviceInfo: OutputChannels = 16
PortAudio : possible sample rate = 48000
An error occured while using the portaudio stream
Error number: -9999
Error message: Invalid number of channels.

anyone can explain this please?
