Does sblive have an internal output?

Ive been trying to figure out how to make an output internall from the sblive. anybody have any ideas? i cant seem to find a pin diagram of the live drive pins to use one of those. (im asking because i have this computer set up for running live effects so it has 2 1/4 jacks moutned on the side of the case wired up to the cd in, so i was trying to figure out how to wire up 2 more 1/4 jacks to an internal output sort of like using an effects send and return deal.) any help would be much appreciated.

There are only digital outputs / inputs in those pins, so you'd need and d/a converter to output from them. Another used sblive could make a cheap d/a converter for that purpose. You can find the pinout here: http://alive.singnet.com.sg/musician/aps-rewiring/

If you have some experience with electronics and a solder iron, you can solder some shielded wire (stereo) on the cards analog outut jacks on the rear. There are solder points available (directly on the jacks), you only have to sort out which is the ground and the signal right/left. If you do that, avoid static discharge! And note, that you only use one jack per output at a time, do avoid damaging the output due to overload.

okay awesome, that helps out a lot, i'll search and try find a pin out diagram somewhere.

and by saying "And note, that you only use one jack per output at a time, do avoid damaging the output due to overload." do you mean dont use the rear and internal output at the same time? or dont use the L and R at the same time?

thanks

I meant, dont use the original jack and the soldered one at the same time (this for each output) or you may damage the output. For the soldering you donīt really need a diagram, there are 3 pins on each output jack, one is GND (connected to the GND-plane on the card, can be ohmed out with a multimeter) and the other two pins are L/R, you will find out the right polarity. Be sure you use good and well shielded cables for that, otherwise you pick up noise. Ahh, before I forget: DONT CONNECT COMPUTERīS GROUND WITH THE NEW JACKS! It will add a lot hiss and hum in the worst case. Connect the shield of the cable on the cardīs GND and on the other side of the shield with the jackīs GND. Mount then the jack isolated from the computer chassis.
