Great Work!

HI to all the Kx community, well I have been using the drivers for around 3 days now.

[edit] thats version 3537 (alpha i think) DOH [/edit]

And all I can say is Superb keep up the good work!

I have a Aud2 ZS / headphone set up (mixer in 2 speaker mode). I only use my card for playing back music / films etc. and playing games, but I notived such a difference in quality with the first tune I put on. And I read my card isn't even fully supported yet!

And its nice not to have a bloted set of drivers / mixers (aka creative).

I have a quick question, are there any tweeks people can surgest for using Kx with games.
I have seen a noticeable improvement already, but wonder if there is something in the mass more options I have now to get things even better?

I have read about changing the wave to 4/5, but can someone explain what this changes etc?

My brother is into his home studio stuff, i'll recomend this too him once I find out what card he has

System Specs

changing to kX Wave 4/5 uses only the front input, and is useful for some games if you have issues with sound

I've had total hell with my SB Live! Platinum for years... not that it didn't work (depending on what you call "work") but to express it in a creative-friendly way: I wasn't really satisfied.

I did not plan to run across the KX, but when I did there was no reason not to try them, and man...
I'm using v. 3534 and it works like a charm. I read quite a few posts here before installing, and I was a little bit scared that things would not work.
But - there was no reason to be afraid. After 5 minutes, witout doing any adjustments my card works. That is, really works.

So, I just want to say thanks to Eugene and all of you here. For the drivers and for all info. Changing drivers was like a huge tweak, uncompared by anything I've ever experienced before. Not only do I have a working sound card, I also have RAM to spare and CPU to spare, something Creative obviously didn't think was very important.

Thanks E, and thank you all!
