Live drive input/output crackling

Hi,

I have a sblive 5.1 Platinum with Live Drive IR. I installed yestarday the kx drivers 3537 and it seems that my headphone and line in 2/mic 2 of the live drive produce some crackling. Everything that goes by these input/output sounds like an old vinyl record.

The regular output of my card sounds fine. I also notice that the volume is really loud, even when the master volume is near 0 making it difficult to ajust the volume Is it normal ? It's kinda 10 times louder than with creative drivers.

thx

First, check the PEAK in the KX DSP to monitor the levels of your inputs. Make sure you are not clipping there.

If that doesn't help, and if you are using the ASIO drivers, adjust the latency in the ASIO control panel.

As far as the headphone volume, just adjust the slider in the kx mixer for your headphone.

thx,

I solved all problems by re-installing the drivers. Now, everything is fine.
