Is this possible

Since i switched to kx drivers for my audigy 2 they have been excellent but i was wondering if it was possible to have the creative drivers installed as well so i can switch between them, any help on how to do this will be much appreciated.

No, this is not possible unless you use two CL cards
and even then it's quite tricky to get it to work on identical card types.

I have an SBLive 1024 player... and i used to switch between creatve<->kx sometimes. It can give problems but you can try. I installed my Creative drivers first(UniPack) and after that the kX drivers. Now they are both installed, but the kX is active. This will cause AudioHQ say: "no compatible device" at startup. You can switch to Creative drivers like this(WinXP): right-click My Computer->Properties->Hardware->Devicemanager->Sound video and game controllers->Right-click the kX driver(NOT the gameport!) and choose Roll back driver. If it asks for files just enter the destination folder like c:\windows\system32\ or c:\windows\system32\drivers. Now you can load AudioHQ again (and kX will say: "no compatible device" at startup). You can switch back to Kx by goign to sounds video and game controllers again and choose Update driver. Don't let Windows search but keep choosing for the "i want too choose from a list" -like options. At some point you can click "HAve Disk", click it and browse to your kX installation folder, go in to the version number folder(like 3537) and you'll see the needed inf files there. Click ok and choose the kX driver from the list.

If you want you can select what program to load on startup in start->run->msconfig32 <enter> ->startup .

This is what i did and it worked quite good. But now i'm staying with kX because they are so much cooler than creative

Yes, that's why I seriously doubt that switching back and forth using
'Roll back driver' is a good advice here but hey,
if one likes to mess with his computer and doesn't mind getting
all sorts of strange problems, I'd say;.. 'knock yourself out'..!

I toyed with this idea when I got a new game awhile back-I wanted to test EAX..etc....
anyway Heres what I did and it'll get ya pretty close..
1. Install Crayola Labs Drivers- play your games
2 Use driver cleaner only to remove the driver..don't uninstall...
3 install KX project... listen to music/make music
than you can use Driver cleaner to switch back and fourth..the only thing you run into is the swap function...but you can uncheck that in KX mixer or move the wires..this is the easiest way I figured out to swap drivers...
just use driver cleaner to remove whatever driver then install the new one..it retains all your settings for the CL drivers and KX drivers...So I guess it's pretty cool way of doing it..just remember Don't uninstall either driver, use driver cleaner only.. this way you can install Crayola Labs drivers when you want your EAX and easily rip out and install KX for quality audio functions, This procedure works flawlessly for me.....hope that helps.

System Specs

best way is to use a dual boot system
one optimised for music with kX
one optimised for games with CL

Dual boot takes alittle work to set up though, This is an easy fix for this. It is similar to what your saying, all driver settings remain even when using the other driver. If this method didn't work I wouldn't reccomend it. When I Snap KX back in my mixer is exactly the same as when I removed it for CL drivers the opposite is also true with creative. Ideally a dual boot would be the best option. The whole trick is to use driver cleaner and not uninstall. Just my opinion.
