exclamation Drivers installed successfully - soundcard still doesn't work (couldn't initiate kx-m

hi folks,

I installed the kx-drivers successfully, but after the reboot, it says that it couldn't initiate kx-mixer and that I should reinstall the drivers...so i removed them entirely and did it again...but it didn't help at all...same error message.

The strange thing is, that there are no conflicts according to the device-manager. The soundcard itself, as well as the gameport were installed successfully...

The little yellow speaker doesn't show up in the Task-Manager either. I have Win2000 SP4, SB-Live and tried 3 different driver releases...none of them worked

However, on my 2nd partition (win2000 as well), it works...

Any idea?

thank you
