Multimedia keyboard "jumps"

I just went back to the 3537 drivers (from 3538) because i was having a hard time living without the UFX pack... anyway, i have noticed that in 3537, using my multimedia keyboard to change the volume produces some "uneven" results. it randomly increases or decreases by large amounts (10%) and someitmes it goes down by 1-2%. I know this did not happen in the 3538 drivers. Any suggestions? (this really is a problem for me considering the fact that i am using car amplifiers to power my computer stereo which do not have much of a volume control on them. a gain yes, but they only go from loud to louder )
