Digital input

Hey guys, the digital inputs in the audigy card (cd digital in and also the digital in the back of the card) and the digital inputs on the livedrive ir can accept signals with up to which bit-depth and sampling rate?

Hi Daniel!

As far as I know they accept 16...24 Bit with 32...96kHz. The same is for the I2S inputs of Audigy. So you can connect 16 Bit / 18 Bit / 20 Bit and 24 Bit A/Ds with up to 96 kHz (all will be resampled to 48; except I2S - goes directly to the card).

Greetings!

Thanks TravelRec. I'm considering buying a behringer VX2496 channel strip which has a 24/96 output and I was wondering if I could direct it to my audigy 1 or livedrive ir. But I don't want resampling. Are the digital inputs in the livedrive also resampled? Thanks. Daniel.

Yes, unfortunately. The only way to get no resampling is to use SPDIF directly (or I2S for Audigy) and bypass the DSP with direct recording mode in kX-mixer. But this works (you know that) not for ASIO .

Greetings!
