AWE 64 Cards

Is it possible to use an AWE64 card with KX?

The KX drivers only support Creative Labs cards based on the EMU10k1 and EMU10k2 chips. The list is here:

http://kxproject.lugosoft.com/faq.php?language=en#cards

Supported cards can be had pretty cheap these days though, the CT4670 seems to go for around $15 US (new) on the Internet.

EDIT
Just after blabbing on, I was reading 454er's thread. He is messing around with an AWE 64. It does appear that you might be able to use an SPDIF connection on the AWE to link it to another KX compatible card. The AWE 64 would still use the Creative drivers.
Check out the thread:

System Specs

and i've just turned 17

but back on topic - the AWE 64 will not work with kX, but check out the thread linked above - if the AWE 64 does have an S/PDIF header then you can connect that to the Live! or Audigy card if you purchase one and use that as a seperate stereo input
