hello,

i have a sound blaster audigy card. i also hav a gigabyte spdif expension module. it have i optical and cox out. the wire that comes out is Black, White and Red. i would like to know on what pin of the audigy should i insert the black, white and red to. by doing this will i able to get 5.1 out to my reciver. thanks alot.

ok i use a gigabyte module myself - white is signal, black is ground, red is +5V

sorry, i tried but there is no light comming from the optcial out. my soundcard is SB0090 i have set my soundcard to spdif passthrough. i also would like know, will the creative digital I/O Module work with my card. i also like to know, by doing this , will i able to get spdif passthrough to my av reciver. thanks alot

This is the configuration i tried but it did not help

Black -->Pin 3
Red --> Pin 1

that's odd, it should work

do you get any signal from the coaxial output? (also make sure the digital outputs in the kX mixer/dsp are unmuted and levelled up)

AFAIK, that module will not work with your card. It is for newer card models that include a Digital I/O jack (not to be confused with the Digital Out jack) on the rear of the card.

i did not get the any signal from both coaxial and optcial(no light) i hav not tried kX drivers. so correct me if i am wrong, in order for me to get spdif passthrough via the spdif cable (gigabyte) must i uninstall the my current creative driver and install the kx drivers.

also the jp1 lable is one the right side, does that mean pin 1 starts from the right side rather than the left side (that is wat i see usually)

i start counting from left-right, then down, so that shouldn't be the issue
