Onboard AC'97 Patch to SBLive 5.1
Has anyone tried patching an onboard SC to the SB5.1.....OK.... My onBoard is ALC650 5.1 with SPDIF (Header), Now what I wanted to do is use a patch wire to route the SPDIF out from my onboard to the SPDIF in on the SBLive, this would give me the inputs via the ac 97 is that correct?.....any input would be helpful...

Try to connect the SPDIF-out of your onboard sound to the CD-SPDIF-in of your SBLive.

that is exactly how i have my alc650 hooked up to my audigy, and this does work
