One more Microphone problem

SB Live!, winXP, newest kx drivers.
I set up everything exactly as it's shown in http://kb.kxproject.lugosoft.com/guide/setup-mic.html

When I start recording it records only sounds that are played by the computer.
When I plug the microphone the unbearable lound beeeeping sound starts (and stops when i disconnect the microphone from the soundcard) and all I still cant record anything from mic.

It works ok on headphones. THe speakers are 40cm away but when i used standart drivers or YouP-PAX-IV383 it didnt have a negative impact on recording. If i turn off Mic Boost off the beeping sound stops but the reccording sound is way to quiet. Besides why this mic gather sound all the time instead of only when i press reccord?

this is due to the wat kX is setup, perhaps if you mute the ac-97 slider in the i/o page this will work
