problems with kx and gigastudio
I have a problem with kx and gigastudio. My soundcard is a sb pci512, gigastudio version is 2.50, windows 2000, kx 3534; anything looks fine, gigastudio recognizes the driver, but i cannot get any sound out of it. I loaded bosendorfer piano and I tried several variations, including midiyoke as input to gigastudio etc. Any help will be highly appreciated...

kx and gigastudio
Thank you for your answer!
I tried enabling front/rear swapping, but nothing happens. As a test, should gigastudio send something to kx even by pressing keys in the Virtual Keyboard in Loaded Instruments tab? When I do it, nothing happens as well. I managed to get Midi input red light blinking, but none of the ports signals any output. Moreover, kx spectrum analizer remains idle (which is not the case, of course, when I send to it the midi output of some program, e.g. finale).

hi,
I can't either use gigastudio ALONE with a midi keyboard.
But, Gigastudio AND cubase work fine.
There's a special routing in Kx Dsp and Cubase (I can send pictures if you want).

for Gigastudio ALONE (without cubase) :
the default setting of KxDSP should work.
It works with the mouse (i can play note by clicking on the giga window keyboard), but not with a midi keyboard (though Kx Control is set as Midi in Ports in Giga/settings)
for Gigastudio with cubase :
the default setting of KxDSP works.
but, in order to have complete control (mixing, effect, automation...) in cubase, I use this settings :
Cubase send midi events to gigastudio with Nemesy midiout port, Gigastudio send back sounds to Cubase audio tracks through asio routing (in exemple below : asio 12 to 15).
CubaseForGiga1
CubaseForGiga2
GigastudioForCubase
KxDsp

problems with kx and gigastudio
I managed to solve the problem. It seemingly depended from Gigastudio version: it was 2.53, I upgraded to 2.54 and it worked!

Another Gigastudio Question
Hey - I just installed win XP, and that pretty much solved all my KX woes. Having a blast playing around with this thing - Kudos to Eugene!
... However, there is one little issue with Gigastudio that is still a little nagging.
It seems that now with win XP and the KX drivers, there's a lot more latency when I push a key on my midi keyboard, and gigastudio responds. I'd say about 0.5 seconds. Before, with standalone creative drivers and WIN98, I'd say it was about 0.1 seconds or less. Clicking the buttons on the keyboard icon in Gigastudio doesn't give me a delay, so I'm wondering if it's a midi delay issue from my keyboard to gigastudio?
(My soundfonts play instantly when struck by a key)
(Playback of gigastudio in MIDI seems fine, although I haven't compared the timing with a soundfont next to it)
Thanks!
