mylife is on a distinguished road

different volumes of direct3d, vsti and wave

Hey Folks,

Im really loving my kxdrivers, however, one problem seems even after hours of try and error and reading the help file twice unsolved:

Im working with Cubase SX and all audio stuff works fine (ie, the volume level is ok, i dont get any distortion and the level equals that of the winamp playback. Nevertheless, when I play some vsti like the evp73 or b4, the volume is really low (at about -24 db at the peak meter). Even if i record some notes and play them they remain comparables low.

I tried already the GainHq and a compressor of kx to adjust the main signal (that is, befor the epilog), however, this solution is not best given that ALL inputs and output signals are amplified.

Isnt there a solution to just adjust the VSTi (btw, it is the same in reason) output level so that mp3&co remain unchanged??? (i have the outputs in the vst window in cubase routed on 1+2, tried also different outputs , but i dont know if there level is adjustable seperately)

till now i have always turn my PA up when using a vsti and turning it down when watching a film, listening to mp3s...

does noone have the same problem or knows how it could be solvable?

thankx

johannes

System Specs

the VSTi will naturally be low in cubase, you have to use higher velocity on each note and increase the gain within the sequencer
