Live 5.1 - how many analog inputs?

In my quest to maximize the number of recordable analog inputs I came across this article:
http://www.digit-life.com/articles/livetolive51/
which says that the Live! 5.1 uses the STAC9708 chip. The specification of thise chip http://extranet.sigmatel.com/library...ac9708-faq.pdf says that it has siz analog line-level inputs.
Has anybody been able to use all these? Does the Live 5.1 have connectors on the board that run into these inputs? Is there a hack of some sort to enable them?

Thank you.

you can only record from one analog AC-97 input at a time… but look at www.electricstart.de for expansion options using analog to s/pdif adaptors you build your self
