No, the difference is minimal. I have "upgraded" to an audigy 1 and the only real advantages I see is twice dsp resources and the firewire port. Other than that there's not a really big difference. Playback seem to be a little bit better but not a lot better... Anyway, in your case, the sound is being produced and recorded by the cpu and not by the live, so the soundcard you have doesn't make a big difference.
