somebody help

I set kx mixer to recor line in. when im recording in cool edit multitrack i first track bleeds into second one and everything is being recorded.
If I mute wave recording Cool Edit gets no input. I have muted everything in recording mixer and the track still bleeds into the second one.
How can I record one track and only hear playback of the other one?

thanks

Look in the AC97 page of the mixer. What do you have enabled in the drop down list? Choose line in and not stereo mix or such....

I have done that and the thing still does not record line in only. I know he is recording wave because when i disable wave recording in the recording mixer it doesnt record nothing.Cool edit doesnt get input in that case. In the regular windows mixer i would set line in for recording and thats that.
How to do that in kx mixer. i have read help me but im missing something.

Select AC97 on the recording page, and mute everything else.
