Take out the trash?!
Ok, i have a bunch of computer stuff i want to get rid of. I have an old AT case w/MoBo and processor (i think it has processor in it) and a couple of other things that are too old to get rid of that nobody would take. Now where can i get rid of this stuff? I know i can't throw it away in the trash cuz that's illegal, so how can i get rid of it?

I got rid of about 10 computers over a 2 week period by sticking them out in the boulevard with signs, explaining what the computer was and if it was working and stating that it was FREE!!!
Got rid of a pile of working 386s, 486s, Pentium Is and other puter parts that way. What was left, went out for recycling.

Just set it outside. Someone will pick it up. I do that with old computers all the time. If they arent too old I just donate them to the goodwill or some other charity. Or put it on ebay, always someone somewhere looking for vintage computers and/or parts.
Peace

hey guys, 386s and 486s are used a lot in the third world. Here in Brazil lots of schools teach kids how to use computers on 486s, so don't trash your old hardware, give it away to people who can use it just fine....

thanks for your input guys. i will try and find a place where to take this system. I don't even know what it has anymore, 'cept a MoBo cuz i can see it through the expansion slots. I'll open it up, and if it has the required components to boot, i'll hook it up and boot it up and see if it will. If not, i'll prolly keep it where it is right now, making base for my alarm clock .
