EMU 1212M = Audigy ????

Not to throw a old and much abused monkey wrench into a well oiled machine but I noticed that EMU has a new set of soundcards on the market. I also noticed this interesting bit of language about installing the EMU 1212m...

IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR AUDIGY, AUDIGY 2 AND AUDIGY 2 ZS OWNERS
IF YOU OWN OR HAVE EVER OWNED AN AUDIGY SERIES SOUND CARD READ THIS NOW!
After installing the E-MU 1010 PCI card, the Windows device manager may IMMEDIATELY attempt to install older
Creative drivers.

Has anyone tried to run an Audigy with the 1212m drivers?

this could mean that the latest EMU soundcard uses the 10k2 chip, or at least a derivative of it, maybe the 10k3? Good news for those who use the kX drivers if the EMU cards can be supported (same kX functionality, better ADC/DAC quality)

I'm afraid supporting the new E-mu cards might be a little bit difficult w/o test samples and technical specs... even if they are 10kX-compatible

yeh i thought as much, and emu/creative won't send you a test sample to you either… unless we get someone at driver heaven to review it, and if possible pass the card on to you

This card seems to be great piece of hardware, and well - piece of 'creative' software. Feel free to replace creative with something more dirty. Best conversation I found regarding is discussed this rmaa forum thread.

I hope you guys put some efforts to check the possibilities out, this card could be thought as professional from hardware point of view too, and therefore it could make kx to be taken more seriously by broader audience.
