crashing logic with 2 cards

hello (again)!

i recently installed a second sblive, and now my logic just keeps on crashing.
i must add to this that most trouble started since i started using direct input from asio drivers.

my setup: athlon2600+, 512 mb, 2x sblive ct4760 of wich one midi interface in use, running logic..
midi stuff: masterkeyboard, acces virus, midisport 1x1.

I posted another one like this in the bug report forum and nobody reacted, and i am quite pissed off about not being able to make half a tune without logic crashing on me without any apparent reason.

so please tell me if anyone else has had this trouble and if there is a way to get rid of it, how

thanks in advance!

try this. Move out logic.prf from the windows directory, open win.ini in windows dir too and delete the stuff after the [Logic] entry (the MidiIn_ and MidiOut_ lines). Also remove any autoload.lso from logic's directory.

Don't need to delete anything permanently, just move these in and out until logic starts fine and then you can point the guilty guy. Logic.prf gets corrupted sometimes...

hey there!

thanks for replying

i must perhaps say that logic starts just fine, and works nicely for a while, and then crashes..
(since you said 'until logic starts fine and then you can point the guilty guy.')

anyway, i'll try this it out, see what happens and reply again

thanks

bas

well, i tried it out.. still the same problems..

after some 20-30 minutes (using 2 stereo direct input channels with 1 fx plugin over it, sending output to a bus + 1 audio instr. routed to a bus, without any fx over busses..)
logic crashed again.. this time without any error messages though

any idea?

hehe thanks anyway..

still no idea what to do though..

could it be that running 2 stereo direct input channels is simply too much for my computer to handle?

i'll install the new driver version.. perhaps this'll help anything

cheers!

well!

i believe that helped, since i haven't had a failure for about 2 hours now..

playback is very very slow by the way i must say, as in timing problems and crackly playback here and there..

perhaps a way to get over this? i can remember logic running smoothly, while having 8 audioinstruments with a lot of fx and bus routings, while it goes shitty at about 5 audioinstruments with very little fx over it..
