unfinished skin
Hey folks.
I made a skin for KX some time ago, but never got around to finishing it. I don't think I will actually ever bother to finish it, so thought I'd post it here in case anyone else is interested.
The skin is quite buggy in its present form, and there are many areas that I simply never got around to finishing (or even starting in some places!), but even so I still use the skin even now as I find it easier to use than the included Aqua skin.
Following are some images of the skin in its current form (this skin was designed for the SoundBlaster Live CT4620 10K1 btw). The images probably make the skin look better than it really is, as mentioned there are a fair number of areas that are just not done at all (areas relating to things like the DSP, etc, probably need removing and starting from scratch). There are also a number of GUI related issues that need sorting, like KX not refreshing the background image correctly when changing between screens; I don't know how to correct this problem, but maybe somebody else does.
Link to download the file (1,443 KB)

If anyone would like to do anything with it, please feel free to go right ahead! Maybe is somebody does then I won't have to do it myself.

Nice skin mate, although I think DSP is not important enough for you, isn't it? It's the main thing for me and here it is the smaller button of the skin.

Yes, Kokoon, I really would like to heve an access for only the dsp in the tray instead of the mixer, which could be just something in the settings menu.

Thanks for all the kind words (especially Eugene Gavrilov, thanks for the amazing drivers).
I didn't intend to release the skin to the public in any way, I just wanted to make a skin with big sliders and an easy-to-use layout (lined up similar to a mixing desk). I was also trying to keep the skin compact, as there are SO MANY sliders, so some of the buttons ended up very small (sorry). It was also my first ever attempt at making a skin, and took about 3 days solid just to make that hideous creation. :P
In case anyone is wondering, the inspiration was the mixer found in Cubase SX, with a little bit of the XPhraze colourscheme thrown in.

Yes, I'm sorry about that. I don't use the DSP too often, I just tend to set it up, save out a DSP profile, then leave it alone. Feel free to change the skin if you want though! (I only posted this thread in case anyone would like to continue it, or maybe give someone the inspiration to make a better skin )
P.S. I noticed that I left a lot of crap in the "1,443 KB" skin file, so decided to replace it with a much smaller file (462 KB).
dbr.

That is one wicked skin! Together with the brushed my absolute favourite. Too bad that you don't intend to finish it. Maybe I will try to finish it sometime (If I ever find the time)
