Hello,
I'm using the current KX drivers (very nice!) on a SB live card with windows 2000. I've noticed that some .WAV files do not play on my system. I can't see any difference in the properties between the wav files that play and the ones that don't. Some wav's I'vedownloaded from various places on the internet will play in Acid pro, but the ones that do not play came with the Fruity Loops software. I can't play them in Fruity Loops, or an external wave player (Windows media 9, Winamp). I don't know whether this is something related to the kx drivers or not, but I can't seem to find additional codecs for wav's doing a google search. Are there differnt types of .WAV files? Any idea how I can fix this? Thanks!
Like AVI files do for video and audio, WAV files can actually contain sound compressed via a variety of codecs (e.g. mp3, acm). You might try loading it in Windows Media Player 9 and see if it says anything about trying to download a codec.

I tried opening in Windows Media player 9, but I just got a message that an unknown error has occured, and it doesn't give me any clues. Good idea though......
