Tip: Uninstalling SBLV Liveware

I was amazed how much crap was left in my WinME registry after using Add/Remove to uninstall Liveware and anything associated with Creative.

My strategy now (and probably many already do this) is to use Ashampoo Uninstaller (or a similar prog) to scan my system before installing ANYTHING.

Before installing the new Kx drivers, I used Ashampoo to nuke Creative and return my system to a pristine pre-Creative state.

Having done that, Kx installed and worked first time - out of the box

I suspect many who have problems with running Kx have them because the registry is not scrubbed clean.

The "rubbish in the registry" is not confined to Creative. Almost every program I've installed leaves a trail of crap. To see this, use Windows Add/Rem first. Then run Ashampoo (or other) and you can see clearly what has not been removed.
