Hi!
Since the first day I got my current DAW, an Athlon/nForce2 system, every time I did some MIDI tracks and played them using soundfonts, I heard random pops. Tried lots of things (Creative drivers, APIC/no APIC mode, new PSU, different PCI slots, etc) but never found a solution. The main problem was... the IDE controller. Yesterday nVidia released their new nForce UDP driver v3.13, with the new IDE driver, and... NO MORE POPS!!! My Live card sounds clean now!!!! See this previous topic Correct PCI settings 4 Emu10Kx Kyle
