Arrgh

I posted a question previously, and got NO help. Neither is there ANY other way to get it.. (?!)
I have an ATI AIW Pro card. I use Win XP Pro. I get NO SOUND when capturing video from any source thru my ATI card. The link for a possible answer for my problem (via ATI's site) did NOTHING. using a microphone input would not work. I would imagine that alot of people DO use ATI AIW cards... I tried installing Cubase SX demo, and their ASIO drivers work great, but I personally do not like Cubase. I uninstalled Cubase, and the ASIO drivers became less useful (more latency occured..) I like the KX Project. Will ANYONE please address this issue? (I also tried the APS Drivers, but they do not work). I am very impressed with the KX Project.. I hope I can find a solution since it appears that Creative is mostly interested in making money, rather than supporting musicians. ARRGH!

All in wonder how to

Ok, try this:

1. MMC won't recognize the sound card. So you CAN'T use it for recording video and sound...
2. Virtual Dub will record video and sound.
3. To record with Virtual Dub set up KX mixer like this:
a) in the AC97 page select AUX (or LINE IN, depending where the audio signal of your AIW is connected) in the drop-down menu. Turn up the AUX (or LINE IN) volume (0db) and enable it.
b) in the REC page turn up the AC97 rec fader and main rec fader.
c) in the INS AND OUTS page turn the AC97 fader up and let it enabled (not muted).

Now in can record video and audio simulteneously (using Virtual Dub). Virtual Dub is a lot better than MMC anyway. You can select any video codec you have and set all options for it and can also select the audio capture format (wma, mp3 etc) easily.

Does this work for you?

Daniel
