Temperature again

Hello all,

I really do not understand.
Did a fresh install.

My system which is rock stable prime95 tested for several hours with no errors.

Abit NF7-s
Barton 2500+ oveclocked to 2300Mhz (210 * 11)
512 3200ll corsair mem

If no sound drivers installed my idle temps are 32 c degrees.
As soon as I install the KX drivers my idle temperature climbs to 41 degrees celsius.

Is this normal?

Thank you,

what about the creative drivers do they resut in the same temp increase?

I'm no kX Project Audio expert but thats wierd. I have a couple question though that might help them experts figure out whats wrong though. what else do you have running, what os,, what card, look @ cpu or memory usage with with /kx and w/creative drivers to see if you see anything odd.

also, a few referances to his previous/simular issues
Temperature question
Strange Asio settings???

this is basic creative card trouble shooting for ya.... too..

make sure your not useing your upper most pci slot for you sound card as it couses issies with sound blasters sometimes. also migh try disabling any unused com ports (especailly com2) asuming you dont use them ... same thing with /lpt ports/usb ports (no need to park resources for devies if you dont use).

Can somebody please check temperature with and without the drivers and report if there is any change?
Then I know if it is normal or not.

Strange... I had a such problem, but I didn't realize that it could be connected with kx drivers. From 1 1/2 week, my power supply has been making strange noises after several minutes, and all the fans at their max rates. I've installed 3535c this week-end, and it didn't happend anymore. Could it be connected with hyperthreading code (my PC PIV 1.7 GHz and is no HT) ?
