Temperature question

Hello everybody

Can somebody check this please?

When PC in ACPI mode

If KX drivers installed : idle temp = 41 c degrees
If KX drivers not installed : idle temp = 32 c degrees

When PC in STANDARD mode

If KX drivers installed : idle temp = 32 c degrees

It looks like something is keeping the processor busy in ACPI mode.
Is this normal or is something wrong?

Thank you,

On a side note

I found there is much more noise on the output when a softsynth is running in ASIO mode then with using Directsound.
The noise is related to the ASIO buffer as I can change the pitch with increasing or decreasing latency.

Thank you

I'm experiencing high CPU temperatures too - I will experiment this weekend, and see if uninstalling the drivers lowers the temperature,

Correction

Hello all,

It looks like I was wrong with th standard PC mode.
It gives the same temperatures as in ACPI mode.

Still I don't understand why loading the kx drivers does increase temperature so much.

If KX drivers installed : idle temp = 42 c degrees
If KX drivers not installed : idle temp = 32 c degrees

Thank you,
