Cubase won't record, yet other apps will
Without KX drivers installed Cubase records OK and so do apps like sound recorder.
Install KX driver and cubase no longer records, while sound record still works. Have tried all ASIO drivers anyway and fiddled with all settings.
As soon as I install KX I can't record in Cubase (SX or VST5).
Any ideas?

A Frequently Asked Questions Forum, please kx gurus?
Get used to DSP page in kx mixer.
Enable the right ASIO inputs in Cubase. (The same as you have in DSP page).
And remember, kx drivers is a space rocket - complicated stuff. You have to read the manual first.
For ASIO in Cubase you first select VST Inputs 1 and 2. ( if you havent changed anything in DSP page )
If it doesnt work change ASIO inputs in DSP page and in Cubase. kx ASIO must be selected and 48 kHz as samplerate also.

seems to be working - thanks :)
In cubase SX: If I click "enable ASIO" Cubase crashes, so I tried `Digital Input Only` and it seems to be working with the inputs fine so far, thanks for all your help!

seems to work now + addendum
- was getting clicks so I reduced latency to 50ms from 20ms so seems ok
- only got 128mb, really need to buy him 320mb for Cubase SX? (it's 850mhz)
Here's a screenshot attached (32kb) of the tick-box that crashes Cubase SX.
- if i click The TOP ringed box to make system link active Cubase crashes
- if I click the middle ringed tick-box on it's own everything seems to work fine
- if I click the bottom circled box Cubase also crashes
Just thought I'd attach it to show what I meant earilier about the crashing to see wether it's a Cubase problem or not.

pps Thanks for all your help!

Hi now!
Sooo... sorry but I never seen this box before. So I can´t say anything. My working program in an old 3.7 VST and there is no such box. Do you have an online help file which describes the features of this box?
The memory point: the more you have, the better performance you will get with many audio tracks. Cubase is able to run also with 32 MB, but your HD will be thankful for more!
The latency point: I run the system almost with 20 ms and this is fine on P3/600. If I use lots of EQ and Dynamic and VST(i) and FX in realtime - then it´s better to run with 40 ms or a little more. That´s okay.
Send more!
TravelRec.
P.S. Which error messages you get on crash? And crashes cubase only or the whole system?
