maybe this should be posted in the asio forum, but more people seem to read this one:

i wonder if it would be possible to run asio on two separate cards at the same
time, BUT (before everyone writes back to say that applications can only use one asio card at a time) *independantly*. that is to say program A uses the asio drivers on card A and program B uses the asio drivers on card B.

from what i understand i can currently only GLOBALY select one card for asio use. is it possible to (or would it be possible to introduce this feature) allow each application to select individually which card to use for asio.... (i understand they would not be synchronised...)

there's a technical problem with the present ASIO specification
it is not so easy to provide per-application settings for the ASIO driver
this might be fixed in the future
