Line-In sounds "wrong"

I have my TV-Tuner, PS2 and Gamecube going to the Line In on my Audigy 2. At first I couldn't get any sound, then I Went to AC97 and selected Line In, and un-muted AC97 in In/Out.

The sound coming from my card sounds like there is too mutch signal, or the sound is being amplified, I don't know the technical term for this but it sounds bad. I didn't have this problem with the Creative Drivers.

Is there some kind of audio processing going on that I don't know about that is amplifying or compressing the Line-In signal?

Is it possible to use the DSP to somehow route my line-in directly to my right and left speaker?

you should be able to tweak the sound level by changing the AC97 slider [on the 'ins and outs' page]

make sure you have the 'line-in' slider MUTED (on the ac97 page of the mixer) -- you need to select the source only

Thanks for the reply. This kX project thing is awesome. The kX drivers sound so much cleaner in just about everthing from MP3s to even modern games.
I don't completely understand what the sliders do in the AC97 page, by my logic hitting mute on the Line In slider would mute it as a source for AC97 *shrug*.. I guess i'll have to dig deeper in the docs.
