Switching between KX and Creative drivers

I found a program that may help those who wish to switch between the KX Drivers and Creative Drivers.
The program is called "My Drivers" and can be found at http://www.zhangduo.com.

The program is a driver configuration backup system. The best way I could say to go about it is to:
1. Install the Program
2. Install one of the audio drivers. (KX Audio, for example)
3. Use "MyDrivers" Program to backup the first driver installation and save that as an executable.
4. install, say, the Creative drivers
5. Use "MyDrivers" Program to back the Creative install up and save that as an executable

Now just put the shortcuts to the executables on your desktop and run the one you wish to use for a session.

Just a note. For, say the KX Drivers you want the KX Mixer to only load with its drivers. I would suggest putting it's startup link in your start folder instead of the registry. Same with the creative auto start programs. Put those in a startup folder as well. This is where seperate Logins would work.

Anyhow, I hope I explained that alright, and hope it helps anyone who needs it.

Yello,

I was about to test your solution with the soft MyDrivers... But after some test, I found it VERY unintuive and confusing... And for me, the EXE driver installation didn't work one single time I tested...

But I tried to switch between Kx and Creative with their original driver installation and it worked very well! All we have to do is to keep both original driver folder. When we want to switch to the other driver, we only have to install it over the previous and answer NO for the reboot.

The driver works "on the fly" very well... However, there is one little thing. Creative driver installation won't let you reinstall his driver a second time if you didn't rebooted at the first install... But hey, 1 reboot once in a while won't kill you.

Well, it's my solution for DVD-A and DirectSound 3d with my Audigy 2 Plat. However, complete DirectSound 3d support in kx is on the horizon..!

Enjoy:-)
