I'm running KX 3539 on a SB Live card. Absolutely love it. Recordings sound professional and reproduction crisp and clear. I use on the DSP module an effect (EFX Tube drive) to record the E. guitar. It sounds great and very flexible. My question is, does anyone has or knows of a similar effect for microphone input?
I use a pair of fairly good mics with wide diaphragm but the tracks laid out either on Sonar 7 or Audition 3 sound lifeless. I mean very digital with a total lack of harmonics. Must liven up vocals to sound pro. Please help! |

Re: Effect / plug-in to simulate Tube Mic Input
You might give the Dynamics Processor a try...

There is also a tube distortion effect machine from TigerM., it is primarily for guitars but may help you.

eljorgep:
its a vst, not a dsp effect, but silverspike's rubytube gives nice warm overdrive to tracks, and its free. |
