How do i uninstall the Aureal Driver

Istalled the bundeled Aureal a2d driver, and it screwed up my sound in toca race driver. Now the stereo sound is just digital garbage, but the surround sound in the game works fine (Can't explain why, but it does) Anyway, I don't have 4 speakers and would like to use the stereo soundstage in the game.

But, there is no uninstall option for the aureal drivers in the control panel add-remove. Does anyone know how to remove them?

A little more information about your system would be key... OS, which aureal sound card... that would be a good start

If there ain't an uninstall option in software config screen, then do the following:

in regedit, delete the following keys:
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{92FA2C24-253C-11d2-90FB-006008A1F441}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{442D12A1-2641-11d2-90FB-006008A1F441}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{d8f1eee0-f634-11cf-8700-00a0245d918b}
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\A3dDAL
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\A3dApi
HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\A3d

then delete the following files from your windows\system32 dir and windows\inf dir:
A3DAPI.DLL
A2D.INF (might not exists)

then reboot...

should-work(tm) :-)
