Cool! kX Manager: settings applied at start of kXMan rather then Win?

I disabled kX Manager startUp in MSCONFIG (also some bloatware apps etc just to speed system) I played standard mp3 and decided to start kX Manager (which I did) and there was a pause-like second (as if kx manager applied my previous settings upon load up)...

Can all the previous settings (before restart/shutdown) applied without kX Manager load-up? Its a great thing if these settings are applied before login (and without kx manager) that way only when kx Manager is needed, it will be loaded

I do not think there is anything within kX that provides the functionality you want... Your best bet is probably to let kX start with Windows using the "--startup --once" command line switches, so that it restores settings and then exits.

Aside from the above, you could try using svrany to run kX as a service (using above command line switches), so that it restores settings and exits before you login, but I have not used that program in ages and I am not sure how well it will work with kX.

hmmm, I guess that will work as long as it exits but it adds 1+1 which will further delay boot-to-desktop.

It would be great if kX Manager writes settings to registry and driver upon boot-up, sees the registry settings written in last kX manager session and sets up accordingly (instead of using kX defaults while relying on kX Manager).

Īņāåņ: kX Manager: settings applied at start of kXMan rather then Win?

this is impossible w/o abandoning 'plugin architecture'
(many settings are handled by plugins which the driver has no access to)
