installation on xp

When i try to install version 3533, i select my vst folder, then click reboot. When i log back into windows nothin happens, then i tried following the instructions and clicked cancel to the reboot, and the driver installation simply stopped. Is there a problem with the installer?

Same with me... But I do get an error message (translated from norwegian it sounds something like this):

Error during initialization of your soundcard.
Please reinstall driver.
If you haven't restarted your computer after the installation - do reboot now!
If installation is ongoing right now - ignore this message.

Something like that....

I have tried to uninstall the driver to reinstall and I have tried to reinstall on top of the already installed driver, but no help.

Now I am going to try the version before the last one, I'll report back!

could you please download and run monitor (kxdev.narod.ru) and check its output when you start kxmixer?.. [it is kX mixer that prints this message]

Yes, it is the kx mixer that gives the message, but after giving it yet another try, it worked allright...

I am unsure but perhaps you need to reboot after uninstalling the driver before reinstalling? I don't think I needed to do that before though...

i simply don;t get an error message. maybe i should install an earlier driver
