3545b is out! This is a bugfix release for 3544 and 3545 builds.

Changes (since original 3545):
* Fixed a bug in ASIO code introduced in 3545 - ASIO should work fine now
* ASIO buffers are now allocated below 2Gb boundary - this should fix ASIO for computers with >2Gb of RAM, but WinMM/DSound will not work still
* Fixed multichannel playback on Vista and XP, on Vista SP1 all audio devices (master, 2/3, 4/5, 6/7, spdif) should work fine now

Changes (since 3545a)
* Fixed kX Router for Wave devices
* Fixed several additional card names (thanks to Russ, cevar_blackwing, DjGioD)
* known issue: kX Router is not fully functional for 10k1-based devices. TODO

Changes (since 3544a):
* Fixed a bug in INF file introduced in 3544 ("KX_WAVEOUT89_NAME" issue)
* ASIO send routing fixed for 10k2 cards (should not show FXBus16 as an option now)
* Renamed 'unknown' cards to kX Mixer-recognizable model names (without "?")

Changes (since original 3544):
* Fixed a bug in 3544 that caused incorrect kxmixer behaviour after restart (this only affects 10k8-based cards, A2 value, A2ZSNotebook, E-mu E-DSP PCI 2.0 devices).
* Fixed kX Router issue on 10k1 devices (reported by Russ)

* improved 24-bit support
* updated kX Router
* changed default routings and WinMM device names
* added 'reload firmware' button for E-DSP control

I no longer see any reference to the old device names with my cards (SB0228/SB0090) in Windows Mixer (Windows XP).

FxBus 16 is no longer shown for ASIO, but it is for the Wave devices in kX Router (SB0090). [COLOR=Gray]- Fixed in 3545a[/COLOR]

kX Router still seems a little screwy with my Live! 5.1 (SB0228) card as far as possible bus assignments go for some of the categories.
i.e.
There is no possibility to select FxBus 15 with anything under Wave.
There is no possibility to select FxBus 15 with anything under AC-3 / 3-D except with 3-D Top.
With ASIO:
There is no possibility to select FxBus 0 with anything under ASIO except kX Out 0.
There is no possibility to select FxBus 13 with anything under ASIO except kX Out 13.
There is no possibility to select FxBus 14 with anything under ASIO except kX Out 14.
There is no possibility to select FxBus 15 with kX Out 0, kX Out 13, or kX Out 14.

BTW: (I assume this is intentional) My SB0228 card was renamed from SB022xa to SB022a. [COLOR=Gray]- Changed to SB0228 in 3545a[/COLOR]

just installed it on fresh windows vista enterprise 32bit, with 4gb`s of ram and sound blaster Live. and it STILL NOT WORKING !. only distorted sound come out.

No, it probably will not effect you at all (unless you often reassign the busses (other than the Synth busses, which seems OK)) in kX Router).

In any case, the bigger issue appears to be with ASIO not working, so if you use ASIO, you probably do not want to upgrade just yet. [COLOR=Gray](Fixed in 3545b)[/COLOR]

the problem with >=2Gb memory is quite difficult to fix...
review IPortWaveCyclic::NewMasterDmaChannel function - it does not allow to specify memory boundaries (compared to, for example, MmAllocateContiguousMemorySpecifyCache)

I will add a fix to our ASIO code to handle >=2Gb memory properly, because the driver has full control over ASIO buffers, while WinMM/DSound/KS buffers are allocated with NewMasterDmaChannel and cannot be limited to <2Gb memory space.

Yesterday i overinstalled the alpha version and ASIO could not be initialized

can you please list which E-MU Cards should work with it?
The reason is: I want 2 buy a new one for mobile-DJing...
Is the 1616 with cardbus also in this list or only the PCI-Version's ???

you mean you installed 3545a ? it had broken asio across all cards. 3545b fixed that issue.

It appears that in the new release, kxSFI.dll does not work. Sound does come out but not as expected! Anyone else use kxSFI?

I just tested it with kX V3545a - and works as expected as a VSTi

It loads SF's - and plays them through the device shown in the kXSFi GUI
It doesnt allow me to choose which device - as in my case I have 2 kX compatible sound cards - and it defaults to using the 1st device kX has.

But is still pretty helpful - I load my CT4832 card with that and use Sonars SFManager to manage my SB0350 - as Sonars SF Manager is quirky for 2 cards.

What do you see as wrong with it?

Test:
1) Add kXSFi as a VSTi to an audio track
2) Assign a MIDI track to now use kXSFI MIDI device it adds to the list of MIDI OUT devices
3) Play some midi on that midi track

Audio comes out the FXBus' assigned for kXSynth 1 on the device shown in the kXSFi GUI.

Yea the kxsfi version that is includeds in the relesases appeares to overwrite the version lemury released taht has multi-card support - so i'ts just a case of google lemury and download the version that does. But both versions have an issue in cubase where they were fine before as i use soundfonts a lot. Bluejay drums for instance make a sort of popping noise - you can hear the rhythm strangeley but not anytyhing like the samples ought to sound.

I think i might have downloaded the wrong 3545 version because i can't get asio to stream into the profx stuff either.

SOrry - i know this is not the bug channel - but i've fixed it nevertheless. There's no problem with kxsfi or anything else. Hope you found the multicard kxsfi maddog and thatnks for the reply.!

The SRC (when set to use FxBus) and ASIO plugins are not going to work with 10k2 models due to kX changes, but the rest should work (and they all should work with 10k1 models).

I can't really say any more than I have a 10k2, profx, 3545b and I can use ASIO through the SRC from ProFX. I found that initially the ROUTER for the card had the asio channels mapped into odd places, but i just mapped them back and its all working. Try checking the router maybe you have the same problem. W.. I couldn't function without PROFX!
