Does anyone else have the phenomenon that if you switch to 24bit output, volume is twice as loud? I mean, like, incredibly loud, and thus distorted.

Yes i noticed this on my Audigy 2 ZS had to drop wave volume to 10 from 100 to stop it distorting!! its not so bad with kernel streaming, but direct sound is the worst (using fb2k)

Windows said: Installing the drivers completed, but there were problems during installation. The device may not work correctly. And I noticed strange in Settings audio: http://img137.imageshack.us/img137/6363/settingstg9.png |

i'm not having these fatal problems, but i did notice that some naming of the devices is still old ( from 3541 or 3542 ). mainly in windows mixer, the 'other' bullet selected shows 'wave out 4/5' for 2/3, 'wave out 6/7' for 4/5, and _KX_WAVEOUT89_NAME for 6/7

i was talking about 3544
![]() with the newer version some virtual devices naming changed ( wave out 4/5 -> wave out 2/3 etc ) but the names in windows mixer are still old. that's what i wanted to say if that any clearer... |
