I bought new computer with Vista and have had nothing but problems with the sound.
Is it just me or does Vista sound suck? I use my old comp more than the new one. Installed SBLive SB0220. Plays sound ok with KX drivers but will not record. I do alot of loop creating with FL Studio to use in ACID and I use Sound Forge to record. No rec from any devices in cluding mic. Any suggestions be much appreciated. One other minor pain is when I have FL loaded at the same time as Sound Forge, playing files on SF sounds krakly. Close FL and SF files sound fine.

For MIC or Line In recording with the default DSP config:
Unmute the AC97 Rec Level slider on the Recording page of kxmixer and set the level to 0 dB. Select MIC or Line In as the AC97 source on the AC97 page of kxmixer. MD6 - KX Mic Setup(default DSP config) Last edited by Russ; May 14, 2008 at 01:02 AM. |

Thanx for the suggestion. I'll try it. I'll have to reinstall KX drivers first. last nite I tried the SB software one more time and sound and recording works great. Go figure, Right?
and all diveces are recognized by Vista. Creative mixer and Audio HQ won't load though and I need access to mixer and sound fonts so I'll install KX drivers n see what happens |
