HoWdY!!
When I was first out on my own I used to go to the local bar on a Saturday afternoon and jam with the band that would be playing that night at the matinee.
Those days have long gone, it seems, except now they have a site where you can jam live online through your computer with a pretty good internet connection! --- Audio and/or midi !! ---
There's a Beta (version 9) program from
eJamming AUDiiO | Home
that let's people jam with others around the world in real time. It's still in beta and the kinks are being worked out but there are some really great players in there as well as some newbie beginners!!
Anyways, I can connect to others with my audio mic, no probs, and with very low latency, but when I try to connect with midi keyboard, I'm told KXProject sets up a feedback loop with the other people somehow and crashes them out and me too.
I've spent several hours today working with the people running this venture, trying to figure out what and where the problem(s) is/are.
No one knows about KX drivers but they are very interested because I was told that there are a LOT of people with Sound Blaster sound cards in their systems that are having troubles with the stock Creative crappy drivers.
Soo ... if you are interested in getting involved with musicians and jam sessions from around the world, please pop in and check it out.
There's no charge for the program right now during the Beta testing period, but after full release they will start charging.
I have agreed to be a Session Leader starting
Friday, August 31 @ 8pm
to help people get a musical jam going with this software.
I'm doing this on a volunteer basis because I love to jam, I see the music industry, in Canada anyways, dwindling down to dust and there aren't very many places around anymore to play my sax.
It's kinda loud and the neighbours complain (wince)
So ... if you like to jam, have a pretty good internet connection and maybe able to give me a hand with these midi probs, please pop in to
eJamming AUDiiO | Home
and check things out.
Thankx and see you there!
