rolleyes DSP Screen blank and crashes when I select Reinitialize

Hello Guys,

This forum was a really good find last time I was setting up my sound blaster 5.1 card to work in traktor using the latest version of KX audio.

Unfortunately this time I am not having much luck, I have installed kx audio and selected the same channels as previous, but still get mixed sound when queuing, the master sounds ok.

So first question:
1)after reading the forums I have found that there is some tweaking you need to do in the DSP screen, this wasn’t necessary last time but I'm am willing to try it out, is this because of a change by the KX developers from the previous version I had?

2)Unfortunately my DSP screen is completely blank and when I try to Reinitialize KX Audio crashes with an error in file kxaudio.cpp??

Thanks in advance, have tried an uninstall then reinstall with no luck.

You say that you had kX set up before. Is this a different computer or a new installation or what?

What version of kX are you using?
What OS are you using?
What is the model number of your sound card?

I am using an older version of kX (3534f and can't find kxaudio.cpp on my computer though there is a kxctrl.cpp.

CPP files, I believe are C++ files but I don't really know any more about it than that. It does look like something is messed up in your installation that doesn't get fixed by reinstallation. Maybe something is whacky with the registry but that is beyond the scope of my computer knowledge.

Try this:

Right click the kX Manager icon and choose kX DSP.
Choose the Load Settings icon in the DSP and browse to your kX folder.
See if Default.kX is there and if so load it.

What happens?
