Hey Eugene I redid installed your drivers I forget turn on router hehe Um there still bugs with your new set. I can't change the 44,000 48,000 or 96,000 it's always suck on 48,000 on the SPDIF mode.

Hi
The line-in slider and the ac97 slider( in the recording panel) do nothing when you move them in v3532a and 3532b. Moving those sliders do nothing to the actual levels. So for example I cant lower the level of "what you hear"

There's no way back.
well, when I turn back to 3531 from 3532b, it caused BSOD when I use my recording software.

>> The line-in slider and the ac97 slider( in the recording panel) do nothing when you move them in v3532a and 3532b
there's no 'line-in' slider on the 'recording' page
btw are you sure you have unmuted the source?
could you pls give a more detailed report? (in a different thread)
[note that standard windows slider 'line-in' corresponds to 'ac97 in', however, 'alternate microphone' isn't a 'real' slider and doesn't do anything]

I uploaded screen captures
http://www.dietcocaine.com/images/kx1.JPG
http://www.dietcocaine.com/images/kx2.JPG
I drew red boxes around the sliders in question. Its doesnt matter what I set these sliders to. They are 100% all the time. I dont know how to be more detailed than to say they dont work at all. It doesnt matter if the line-in slider is all the way down or all the way up. This makes it impossible to lower what I hear from the line in without lowering the recording level. This problem doesnt exist in 3531 and earlier.

Little Bug with devices names:
My Audigy2 card (SB0240) is well identified in the mixer, and works correctly. But in the windows Device's Administator it appears as "Creative SB Audigy", and simply as "KX Wave" in the Sound Devices List.
I use Windows XP.

you seem to be using 3532-a, not "-b"

so, what is the present state of 'spdif freq' issue?
is it solved? no? what version? was it functional before? when?
btw, pls run 'kxctrl -istat' for each 'spdif freq' status
and copy your 'about...->hardware/software configuration' here...

the 'ac97 line in' slider is to be =muted= [on the 'ac97' page]
evey ac97 source is to be muted. you have 'line-in' already selected as ac97 source
try toggling 'ac97 in' mute on and off again [on the 'recording' page]

- Same problem as Robert: Can't change the spdif freq. But there is more, when I tried to change it, the sound has gone completely (in an Audigy2), and now there is an error mesage window each time I try to change the freq.
Wait a moment...: I have been playing with the reset setings options, and now I can change the frecuencym but there is no sound yet.
After restarting the sound comes back, but the problem is still there.
Another thing, I use two cards, an Audigy (wich works fine) and an Audigy2. But I'm not able to get the parameters of the second one with kxctr (I have tried 'kxctrl $ 2' but nothing)
- About the device names, after reinstaling drivers (updating to 3532-b), the names in the adio devices list are now correct, but I still I have the "Creative Audigy" name in the devices administrator list.
- And other thing, I have detected an error with the plugins. The problem is refered to the 'skip' instruction: Yesterday a plugin I wroted was not working, and I suspect the problem was with this instruction. But after unloading an reloading it, it worked good. ???

two new screen dumps:
http://www.dietcocaine.com/images/kx3.JPG
http://www.dietcocaine.com/images/kx4.JPG
I have line-in on the ac97 page muted and turned all the way down.
I have the ac97 slider on the recording page muted and turned all the way down.
I can still hear the source sound through my line-in at 100%. It should be silent. The only way I can make it silent is to mute the ac97 slider on the 'In n Outs' page but if I do that the recording is muted and nothing is recorded.

this was addressed to eyagos
so, back to SPDIF freq. issue:
>> is it solved? no? what version? was it functional before? when?
?
please give as detailed report as you can
I suggest we start a new thread ('SPDIF Frequency on audigy')
kxctrl thing:
cards are numbered starting with '0'
so, use 'kxctrl $1' instead of '$2'
>> ac97 stuff
please re-read our help file (the 'recording' section)
this was discussed many times already...
/Eugene
