Figuring out the kx driver

Hi,

I've had a good trawl though your docs, and I'm still no closer to understanding if this is possible. could a kind soul give me a straight up answer?

I want to create mix and compilation MDs from my MP3s and CDs. ie I will want to process them before recording to MD. Is it possible to use the kx drivers to get an app to output exclusivly on the SPDIF out on a Live Drive II -- and only that app. ie none of the clicks beeps and whistles from any other apps that occur?

My setup: XP Pro SP1, audigy v1 and a Live Drive II from an older card.

Thanks

boffin

yup

if i understand what you need to do... it shouldn't be difficult. in whatever program is playing your mp3s/cd, set your device to something which no other program is using... [0/1], [4/5], [6/7], it doesn't matter so long as only programs you want to record are using this output from your sound card. then open your dsp (in the kx mixer) and draw a little 'wire' from the output you've selected (dig around a bit for this, you can find it at the top of the 'xrouting' rectangle) to the outputs on the 'epilog' labelled 'generic spdif out'. play around a bit and you should get something.....
