Any progress at all? (Vista, 64bit etc)

Hi there

Was just wondering if anyone has heard any kX related news - the last post by Eugene was from quite a while ago. Has he been busy with other things?

I am wanting to move to Vista 64bit edition and the only thing that will cause me any trouble will be my sound card setup.

Currently I use two Sound Blaster Lives tied together with a home made 4pin cable that connects the pair of them together digitally in both directions via the internal IO header. This setup is VERY versatile to me and I have no idea if any new single sound card that I could buy would be able to offer the same level of flexibility.

With this setup I apply effects, mixing etc to music playback, mic and linein on the secondary card and send it to the first card over digital. I then record from the first card's digital input - this leaves the first card free for "dry" game sound, music etc. It's also useful for the extra analog ports that the second card provides. Being able to play with the DSP is just awesome.

I love using the kX drivers and would hate to lose them for Vista. Am I under the right impression that kX will not work at all under x64 right now? I want to buy 64bit Vista (I am going with the OEM version as the Retail prices are insane, so I have to choose 64bit or 32bit) basically for futureproofing; >4GB ram, 64bit enhanced games etc.

Has Eugene lost interest in the kX project or is he just busy? I really hope it's not over because this is the best driver that I've ever had the pleasure of using!

Cheers!
