System Specs

Kernel Streaming is an output method that can optionally be used in a player called foobar2000.

It simply bypasses Windows Kernel Mixer, so your sound gets unchanged to the card. Since PCM slider controls Windows Kernel Mixer, it doesn't work when using Kernel Streaming.
