hum & noise from soundcard output when suspended

Hi!

I love the kx drivers, but I'm having a problem, possibly not kx-oriented but anyway. When my computer is in suspended mode, I get hum and noise from the outputs of the soundcard (audigy 2). This is a problem because the output is connected t oa mixer where several other sound sources are hooked up and as soon as I don't use my computer I get a really annoying hum with noise in it from the computer. This comes from the fact that when the computer is suspended there isn't any voltage from the line out on the soundcard. The effect is pretty much like having the cable just hanging there and since it's a rather long cable this means hum and noise. I have no clue what to do about this really, does anyone have any ideas?!

Hi! Yeah I've seen postsl ike that too but I still can't get a working solution somehow, it works fine when the computer is ON but not OFF, it's like when it's off it leaves the contact or something with the cable producing hum on it's way, hard, I'll reply if I find a solutino!

Kristian,

The problem in diagnosing my hum problems is that they come and go, with no change whatsoever in the cabling setup.

Once in a while I pick up a radio station, either through the mixer or the sound card. I don't try to do recording when that happens.

I have the Main out from my mixer going into the SBLive Line in, - The Rear speaker OUT of SBLive to the TAPE IN of the Mixer-HeadPhone Out of mixer to the speakers.

Everything is plugged into the same power strip. I have tried reversing the Power Cord and using and adapter that lifts the house ground out of the circuit.

I believe most of it is a matter of good or bad MOJO. You are having bad computer MOJO at the moment and need to do something to appease the Puter gods.

I guess the good thing about your problem is that it doesn't happen when you are trying to record.

Are you using a regular RCA cable from your AUDIGY OUT to the mixer?
