rolleyes problem with mia midi soundcard with external keyboard

hi all !!
my prob is that i am using mia midi sound card with casio CTK-731 midi keyboard... i made all possible setting that is required in cubase SX 3 in " dvice manager" and setup all the ASIO settings and used midi in as " mia midi" and midi out as " any Vsti like atmosphere/ stylus...etc " but neither i get any sound nor i see any signal in my transport bar of Cubase SX !!!
i must be missing something as my configuration is concerned i have connected my keyboard midi cable directly in mia midi's Midi in and disabled my default sound card from the bios for zero confliction !!!
i am really stuck with my situation as i recently bought this keyboard and really wanted to generate some midi sound from my keyboard ..

your help might solve my prob and i will really appreciate that

waiting for reply anxiously
cheerz

I didn't ever work in Cubase, I mostly use Cakewalk with ext. hardware synths, but I'll try to explain how I'd solve this.

I recommend you to separate the problems this way:
1. Check if there are any MIDI messages coming into your computer. Maybe you should D\L some MIDI monitoring software, there sure are some.
2. Check if VSTi's are playing (some VSTi's can be played via PC keyboard; do this just to check your VSTi's are playing into a right playback channel that can be heard).
3. If MIDI comes in, and VSTi is playing with your PC keyboard, then you should check your SX3 options, but I'm not much of a help here.
