Sonar 2.0 Input Monitoring -- Feedback Loop

Hey there, I'm a KX newbie with a problem:

I would like to input monitor the audio track I'm recording on in Sonar, but when I enable it I get a feedback loop. (I haven't changed anything in the KX DSP.)

Here's the details:

KX Mixer Settings
I have my source signal coming in my SBLive's Line Input, so I have the AC97 Record input levels set in KX Mixer. I don't want to monitor the incoming signal (want to monitor what's going through Sonar) so the AC97 Levels from the Ins/Outs section of KX Mixer is muted.

Sonar Settings
Audio channel has both Input and Output set to 6/7. When I set the Input Monitoring to 6/7, I get the feedback loop.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

I think you should mute (set to zero) Wave/PCM at mixer's recording page...

Thanks Max, that worked (obviously )

Don't I feel like a dumbass... I've been trying to grasp the signal flow inside a soundcard and through the DSP and I guess I still don't quite grasp the whole thing (I don't know why; I understand signal flow everywhere else in the studio!)

Thanks for your help

Max
