Volume control connector - visualization

Hi, I'm new to this forum, so "Hello all!"

I'm using the 3-pin volume connector on my soundblaster live 1024 for controlling the volume. Luckily, it works with the "kX Project Audio Drivers" but only when the kX Manager is running.
Ok, first question: Why? Wouldn't it be possible to use this feature without the Manager - so it would be implemented in the driver itself? I'm not using the kX Manager for anything else ...

Furthermore there is this graphical-bar visualization when changing the volume with the 3-pin vol. connector. Is there a way to disable this? In my personal opinion this is not very useful because one can actually _hear_ that the volume is changing.

this should be very easy
I'll add it, perhaps, in 3530
