Driver Suitability for SMP Systems
I am sure that some of you are aware of the Issues that the SB Live! series cards have with Dual Processor systems. I am wondering if these drivers fix those issues that are supposed to be driver related issues with the Creative Drivers? Currently i have had to almost turn off hardware acceleration completely to be able to play a sound file without stuttering and skipping. Will these drivers allow hardware acceleration to be turned back on without stuttering and skipping while playing sound and video files ?
Hardware: Win2K SP3 SBLive! 5.1 DE MSI 694D PRO A Rev 1.0 Dual PIII 1Ghz Processors. |

I've got 2 SBLive! cards in my dual PIII box ... one running kx, and the other one running creative-drivers ... in win2k(pro. sp3) only the card with creative drivers was acting weird, and in win xp (sp1) none of the two cards are causing any kind of problems.
Hardware: Win xp SP1 ct4832 (sblive! value), kx-drivers sb0102 (sblive! 5.1), creative-drivers ASUS P2B-D 2x PIII-850 |
